I love the roses...and I love the picture of the bridge across the river...how peaceful it looks. I can imagine myself and my two furry rascals living in a cabin just up on the rise a little looking down upon the river...bliss!
We are lucky that the land around the lake was not sold to developers, it is a state park for all to enjoy! (Although I like the idea of living in a cabin overlooking a lake!)
So am I, Kay! I'd love to take a picture of the beautiful gardens I walk past every day on my way to work... but they are private houses and people here are very sensitive as to having pictures of their property taken. Maybe I should just bring my camera along anyway, and next time I see one of the residents working in their gardens, I can politely ask them if I may take a picture of their beautiful place.
You probably know there is a "bridge over the Atlantic." It's a real place in Scotland and comedian Billy Connolly titled an LP after it and it has a Princess Diana connection as well. Atlantic Bridge. Also a beautiful place.
Oh, I just looked it up and it looks familiar to me...is that where Diana and Charles posed just after their engagement? I love Billy Connolly, he is very funny and also, he is very good friends with Ralph McTell, one of my husband's favorites!
I know, Nan, I love the gardens, the seafront and the Downs in Easbourne, all so beautiful! And yes, I say "neat" all the time and I appreciate you saying that about my idea! :-)

DeleteYou can see beauty all over the world. Your husband and son have just proved it.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the reasons I love to blog, to see beauty from all over the world!

ReplyDeleteOh yes, please ask if you may take a photo of their gardens! I would love to see them, you know I would!
DeleteNice idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteAh the beauties of nature, all around the world. Beautiful roses and lovely lake.
ReplyDeleteAnd we came home and fed our cardinals out on our deck! They come down for sunflower seeds and they expect them!
DeleteThere's beauty everywhere, at any time of day. You just have to know where to look.
ReplyDeleteWe just need to be open to beauty!
DeleteBeautiful photo's !
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sylvia!
DeleteBoth places are beautiful. Beauty is everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI was pleased to see my son's photos from this day and realize that we had been at Panola on the same day, both beautiful!
DeleteGorgeous roses!
ReplyDeleteMy son thought so too!
DeletePanola wins over Eastbourne!
ReplyDeleteYou think so? You should send a letter to the park then, they might DRAIN that lake, if you can believe it!!
DeleteThey are very good at it, too!
ReplyDeleteI think so!
DeleteHappy, Happy Weekend, Kay!!! XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you too, Audrey! Have fun with your family! xx

DeleteAnd both sides are beautiful. Every time we come back from England I'm full of garden envy.
ReplyDeleteI know! I cannot get enough of looking at gardens when I am in England, I am amazed by the beauty!
DeleteWhat is it about England? I so love the landscapes. Such a neat (does anyone use that word anymore?!) idea for a blog post.
