Increase Your Dose of NATURE!

You MUST watch this video I have for you!  It is brilliant!
If you read my blog at all you will know how much my husband and I try to get out into nature as much as possible. We walk on as many trails and over our mountains as often as work allows.  We honestly TRY to combat the work induced catatonia!  It is a very funny video because it is so true (and also as Americans, we are VERY tired of all the drug adverts on TV!!)

Increase your dose of nature wherever you are in the world!

(In my header photo that was taken this time last year near the top of Stone Mountain, those are the lovely Yellow Daisies in full bloom...but do you notice at the edge of the photo on the right side...see a pair of shoes? Guess who?)

  1. Nature and laughter are still the best medicine.

  2. This really was fun to watch - and yours being the first thing I read/watched this morning, it put me not really in the right mood for another long day at the office :-)
But needs must, and I have already taken a 1-hour-walk after work on Monday, and will probably go out for a run across the fields tonight with my friend. So, take this, work-induced catatonia :-D

  3. As someone who lives in as remote a part of the country as it's just about possible to live and still have all the facilities one wants I agree but I also meet people who find living in such places who find it even more stressful than city life. Nature is great. Living permanently in nature isn't for everyone though.

    1. One of my former classmates lives on an island in the Pacific Ocean and I remember her telling me that she had to fly for hours to get to Hawaii for some kind of medical emergency. I would not like that! However, just trying to get out into nature, and away from your workplace and home has got to be a good thing. :-)

  4. I hate all those medical adverts on TV here, and I know they are on even more in the US, so I understand your feelings! A dose of nature is always a good thing and a great cure for many ills isn't it! If only doctors would prescribe it occasionally! xx

  5. Loved the video! I enjoy getting outside to enjoy nature and Stone Mountain is a great place to go to do just that, although I am not able to climb it anymore. The last time we were there we rode the lift.

  8. That video is absolutely hilarious! Seriously, though, it's a good representation of the Japanese concept of "forest bathing" (isn't that a wonderful term?) -- see Wikipedia here:

    1. Interesting! I love the name! We also have the same thing in Georgia, we just call it "Going Outside"! (We have so many trees!) And thinking of it, fishing with my Daddy & Granddaddy when I was little, was like "forest bathing", it truly was like that for me!

  11. It took me forever to find those shoes in your Header! The lovely yellow flowers were
good to to see on a grey and rainy morning. The video set me off laughing too. A real tonic! Glad you are still walking our walk up to the top of Stone Mountain.
