"It's a rainy night in Georgia, feels like it's raining all over the world".
And this rainy night comes after one of the prettiest weekends that you could imagine! Maybe that is why the rain in Georgia is a bit much to take, since the contrast is so much...

Yes, I know that I must not complain after the rough weather in the rest of the country, but hey, I didn't write this song! Anyone in Georgia should be singing or at least humming this song tonight, the rain is really beating down...
Oh- I love that sweet song-always have. I wish we would have rain here instead of all this snow- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh yes, those old sweet songs keep Georgia on my mind!
DeleteI would not mind to see just a bit of some snow, sometimes we have some, and it looks so pretty, and then the sun will come out and it all melts-that's how I like it!
Rain? Keep it!
ReplyDeleteI have lived on your island and I remember the rain!
DeleteWe had lots of rain yesterday too! Today it's going to get colder they say and maybe snow.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, Spring is on its way!! xx
DeleteIt's a great song. We have a few snow blizzards at the moment and it's freezing. I think I'd rather be having your rain!
ReplyDeleteOh, they even have snow in Eastbourne! And the pictures from the Eastbourne Herald makes it look almost like a blizzard! Oh dear, hope it doesn't last too long for you!
DeleteYour weekend and Monday echo ours...beautiful and then very rainy. Unfortunately, the rain is also coming in through a leak in our chimney! Hopefully that will be fixed shortly! But I'll take rain over snow this time of year!
ReplyDeleteOh, me and you both. I just wouldn't know what to do with snow!!
DeleteI wish we had such a brilliant song for rainy nights on the Wirral. It might make them easier to bear. We are having a really sunny day today but, by golly, it's cold out there.
ReplyDeleteOf course, you could add songwriting to one of your many talents! Come on, you know you could, didn't some other lads from Liverpool do okay with that?
DeleteI love the sound of rain drumming on the roof as I fall asleep at night - something I learned during my rainy Irish childhood. We had plenty of rain here in Kentucky too, but hopefully this early rain will help everything grow in spring.
ReplyDeleteYou reminded me of a nice memory...Our son was in his carseat in the back when he was very little, and as I was driving it began to rain quite heavily and I said that it was hard to see with the rain. His little voice piped up, "We need the rain". Already, he was helping in the garden and he knew this fact very well!
DeleteOur rain moved in after midnight and it's still dripping a little. My garden is humming, it likes it.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, see my reply to Mairead above! :-)
DeleteWoke up to the sweet sound of fairly heavy rain falling on my roof here in Florida, but it soon stopped. It's fine with me if it just rains at night as it did in Camelot!
ReplyDeleteOh, your photos from Venice, Florida are just wonderful!
DeleteYes, raining just at night, that's about perfect!!
Hello Kay,
ReplyDeleteI am more familiar with Randy Crawford singing this but really like this. We have, from nowhere, lots of SNOW!!!
Ivan
It even snowed in Eastbourne and they often don't get it when other parts of England do!
DeleteGlad you liked this song and were able to hear it!
Rain makes me sad, which it didn't used to. After dealing with so much water getting into the house over the years, i don't like rain any more.
ReplyDeleteHope you get more sunshine soon!
I was already sad and this song made me feel just a bit more mournful.
DeleteAnd guess what, today was a beautiful day!
Can't listen to the song due to legal restrictions for German viewers...
ReplyDeleteWe're back to sleet and temperatures below zero here :-(
Sorry you can't hear the song, it's a good one.
DeleteTemps below zero? Oh poor Meike! You will just have to run in place!!
I'll be singing this now!
ReplyDeleteOh good, I made you sing!! :-)
DeleteI know that song so well and it is sure true! sandie
ReplyDeleteHey Sandie!
DeleteYou and I can get together and sing that song!!
Did you get all that rain on Monday night that we did?
I'm wishing for sunshine for you. We're finally getting some sunnier days over here again. That is a HUGE stone mountain. It looks like a lot of fun to climb up... slowly.
ReplyDeleteYou got your wish! It has been a BEAUTIFUL weekend! Warm and sunny!
DeleteAnd not only is Stone Mountain big, but there are acres and acres of land around it to explore, with beautiful hardwood trees. It is a lovely spot.
Oh, and my joke is to stop and admire the view on the way to the top...no one will know you are catching your breath!! :-)
