London

Thinking of London and Westminster Bridge.

  1. Watched it on the news tonight. Although it seems like terrorist attacks are on the increase in the capital, London did have a spate of much greater destruction during the years the IRA were active, something that's worth remembering, especially when right wing politicians try to feed the flames of racial division. When you look at the 50 year UK terrorism graph this is a relatively stable period surprisingly although obviously any act of violence on the public is one too many.

  2. Beautiful tribute post Kay. I had a strange dream last night of the Western world being 'taken over' and my iPhone displaying a different script and language: then I woke up to this news. Quite disturbing, and very sad for London.

  4. The world mourns with London. The cruelty in the world needs to stop.

  5. There really are no words. Blue Sky Scotland's comment remind me that my first thought was it may have been an IRA person in the wake of McGuinness' death.

  6. Shocking news. There were nowhere near as many deaths as in the underground bombings of July some years ago, but each violent death is completely unnecessary.

  7. Extremism and the evil that follows it on all sides has and, I fear, always will be with us. I wish that I could believe otherwise.

  8. It was a shame what happened, and I only hope the response can be dignified.

  9. Seems like it was another Lone Wolf attack. Very tragic for all concerned.

  11. London, the UK, is used to such things.
Lets not forget that hundreds of thousands of Muslims are killed by Muslims each year.

  13. Praying for London, the UK, and all the innocent who suffer so grievously. Why do these things happen? And they always seem to happen somewhere....We must just be the helpers as much as we can, however we can...
