Blue With My Best Side

       Lobelia is blue...

   Hydrangeas are too.

Blue is the water...

Blue is the sky.

Blue is the color I see with my eye!

Hello my friends!  Just in case you have forgotten what I look like, here I am! My friend in Germany had some wonderful photos made of herself (you may see them just here.)  Therefore, I am sharing the above photo of myself showing you my BEST side! HA!
(By the way, the bit of plant that you see just beside me is something that we are growing in a pot but it is NOT illegal, I repeat it is NOT, it just LOOKS a bit like it, okay?) Honest!

I love blue!  No weed here!

  1. I've always loved blue and have recently redone many of our rooms with red, white and blue touches. It's my soul color I think and all your blues in the post are perfect! Love your best side! I'm beginning to think I don't have one of those anymore! Ha!

    1. This is the first year that I have ever had lobelia. I have always admired it in other people's gardens! And those hydrangeas, they are gorgeous in front of the grandest mansion or the smallest shack!

  5. Do you know Edwyn Collins' song "Fifty Shades of Blue"?
By the way, I'd be happy to have hair like you!
And thank you very much for linking to my blog :-)

    1. I had Richard take a photo of the back of my head last week because I had my hair cut shorter but I couldn't see it very well in the mirror...hence the photo!
So...when I was looking at my photos, I thought it would be funny to show you the back of my head and then link it to your professional photos! Careful, you might work out how my brain works!
No, I had never heard of Edwyn Collins but I looked it up. Did you know that he had a cerebral hemorrhage and then was only able to speak the following: No, Yes, Grace Maxwell (his wife's name) and The possibilities are endless. He would repeat these over and over.
This happened in 2005 and he is still recovering.
He received the Ivors Inspiration Award in recognition of his struggles.
There was a documentary about him using those words that he used "The Possibilities are endless."
Thanks for telling me about him.

    2. Yes, I knew about Edwyn Collins' cerebral haemorrhage and his struggle to recovery, but I did not know there was a documentary about him; must look it up! I loved him when I was in my teens and he played with "Orange Juice" :-)

    3. Happy to tell you about the documentary then! You know me, I love to look things up! Now, you might have mention him to me again, my memory is not what it used to be.

  8. That big hydrangea bush just takes my breath away! I wish we could grow them here but our zone is not temperate enough.

    1. I adore every hydrangea I have ever seen in my life! The big mophead, the ones that have the little petals to the side which I can't remember what they are called because I am too tired, I love them all!

    1. Well, I only look on the BRIGHT side, don't you know, so I am thinking that the other side of my face needs to be turned away!
Let's see, most of my blue photos here are from other houses, but they are close enough that I captured their blues! (The bottom lobelia is mine though and the photo of me with my head turned!)
