Chas and Dave- WALTZ TIME!

Hey! Anybody else feel the need to relieve some stress? I do!
Listen to Chas & Dave sing some waltzes, that will do it for me! (You know I will sing along with them.)
Please note, if you go to the 11th track here, it is "Mustn't Grumble" and it was written by Chas & Dave! You must listen to it and pay attention to the words, they are so true! "Laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry all alone."

Great praise to firefighters! As I am typing this to you, the TV newscast is showing the effects of a terrible fire on an interstate highway in Atlanta.  The bridge on I-85 has collapsed. So far, we are being told that there are no deaths or injuries.

Wish I could be walking on this beach just now!  It is in Eastbourne in England, can't you just smell the fresh sea air and hear the cry of the seagulls?

    1. I know, and if you watch our news from here, you will see some drivers that drove just past the flames. Man, that would have scared me so much!

  4. I've not heard of the fire, but all firefighters and other emergency response people have my utmost respect and admiration for the work they do every day.
A walk on the beach would be perfect today! But I am going to travel to O.K.'s after work, so that is perfect for me, too :-)

    1. Ah, to walk beside the sea and smell the English air. I don't have to tell you how nice that is!!

  6. I don't trust seagulls ever since one of them stole my lunch. I've heard that quote before. I had no idea it came from Chas and Dave. That's awesome. It's also great that the firefighters are doing such a good job. Hopefully there are no deaths at all and the problem can be taken care of swiftly.

    1. You best believe I don't have any food walking on the beach in England, those gulls are too watchful!
They think it will take months to repair the bridge. Awful for those who travel that stretch of I-85 every day, they think it is a quarter of a million people!

  8. This week has been a very stressful time in Queensland and in Northern New South Wales for many people, and it's not over yet. The cyclone brought destruction to those in its path in the north and massive flooding throughout central Qld down through the south-east section and into NSW. It's going to be a while until the waters subside and even longer for the damage to be repaired and for the lives of many get back to normal.

  9. Laugh and the class laughs with you, but you stay after school alone! That's always been my go-to line.

  10. My dad loved waltzes.
That was a horrible thing about I85...and the industrial park under it was where the fire started we heard. What a mess that will be to get that replaced...and rerouting traffic around in the city. oh my!
Hope you have a good weekend. xo Diana

    1. I ADORE waltzes! My sister played the piano and I remember asking her to play from her Waltz Piano Songbook as a gift for my birthday!
The traffic will be a MESS and if you have ever been to or through Atlanta, you know it is a terrible ordeal at any time!
