Birthday Wishes for Sigourney Weaver

Happy Birthday to Sigourney Weaver!

Signourney Weaver is one of my favorite actresses.  Did you know that her mother was English and her father was American?  I love her in the Alien movies..."Aliens" is one of my favorites.  If you like it too, you might know these quotes: "Did IQ's just drop sharply while I was away?" and "Get away from her, you BITCH!".  If you have never seen "Aliens", please make sure to watch it, it is just a dang good film!
Today is her birthday...so, Happy Birthday, Sigourney!  She was given the name Susan Alexandra, but decided as a young teenager to change it to Sigourney.  (Sigourney Howard being a character from the "The Great Gatsby".)

Hey, I just want to say, if anyone is still with me these days, I think I might have left my brain at the London Gatwick airport....if anyone sees it, please return it to me.  It is most likely Medium Brown (from the years of hair coloring) and probably only about the size of a small orange.  Thank you.

  1. My favorite movie with Sigourney Weaver is Dave. As for your brain do not trouble yourself too much. Many of us lost ours a long time ago and we are still here.

    1. Dave...I have not seen that one! I will have to search it out and view it and I will think of you when I do! I know we lose brain cells as we age, but for Pete's sake, I didn't have THAT many to begin with!

  2. Well, Happy Birthday Sigourney Weaver...I loved her in "Working Girl"...well, she didn't play the nicest person, but I enjoyed her anyway! I loved the photos of you on those beautiful benches in London in your previous post...so cute! I laughed about your brain.... I do hope you find it!

    1. She is a really good actress and I think she is a nice person too, although she might not always play one as a character! :-)
Weren't those benches great? Wish I could have seen them all. Thanks for the well wishes on my brain, I always loved the scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, always looking for his brain, didn't you?

  3. I thought Sigourney Weaver was quite outstanding in "Death and the Maiden" too. That film has stayed with me for many years.

    1. Oh! And I just thought about it, she was in a very funny movie with Jennifer Love Huitt and Anne Bancroft. Can't remember the name of it, but it was good too! Oh, just looked it up...is was Heartbreakers from 2001..NOT for children, but very, very funny!!

  4. She's one of RJ's favourite actresses, too! He sometimes says "If she had blue eyes..." because he says he can only fall in love with a woman who has blue eyes (good job then that mine are blue!).
I didn't care too much for "Alien" because of it being quite scary at times, but I like Sigourney Weaver well enough. Her comic talent is under-estimated and under-used, in my opinion. Did you see "Galaxy Quest"?

    1. Yes, Richard loves her too! In fact, when he read my post, he was surprised that I didn't mention "Galaxy Quest"! It is one of our very FAVORTIES!! We quote from it quite regularly! NEVER GIVE UP-NEVER SURRENDER! Besides having Sigourney, it also has Tim Allen AND Alan Rickman! I love them too.
ALIEN was quite suspenseful but ALIENS (the second one) I think is even a better film than the first one.

  5. I loved her in Galaxy Quest! I didn't leave my brain at Heathrow, but I definitely left a bit of my heart, we're already booked to go back next year.

    1. I am not good with scary movies, but Alien and then, the second one, Aliens, I thought were both well done. The ones that they did later were not so good, awful when they made Sigourney shave her hair in one of them!

    1. Ha, I used to say that mine was a sieve too...but I am older than you, and I think I have just lost mine completely now. Oh well, good thing God gave me a good sense of humor, looks like I am going to need it! xx

  9. Happy birthday, Signourney. Damn - I forgot the card. She was great in 'Dave'. Like the look of your blog, but can't help with the brain - though I do sympathise; mine's been missing for sometime.

So hello there, Mike, I am pleased to see your comment here! Please stop by anytime! We should have our own club of "The Missing Brains"...I should think all those in political offices could join us!
