The 15:17 To Paris

New movie coming out that I must tell you about! It is "The 15:17 to Paris" and it is about the heroes on the train from Amsterdam to Paris in 2015, remember that story, where three young Americans confronted a terrorist?  (I mentioned them in a post in 2015, just here.

Anyway, the most amazing thing, Clint Eastwood is the director and he did not use actors to portray the men.  Instead, they will be played by the men themselves...Spencer Stone, Anthony Sadler and Alek Scarlatos!   You all know this is my kind of film and that is just the kind of special touch that I like.

It looks as though the movie will be released in February.  Look out for it!

Anybody seen the new Star Wars movie yet? I haven't, so tell me if you like it!  Sometimes, hair stylists will cut my hair in such a way that I look like Darth Vader!   (Anybody remember him, or is that too long ago and far away?)

I saw the trailer for the film "The 15:17 To Paris" while I was watching the Rose Bowl on TV, Georgia vs Oklahoma. Guess who I was cheering for? (My readers from other parts of the world have no idea how important college football games are to so many people!)  Who will win? The score is 38-45 with Oklahoma in the lead but there is six minutes left...will Georgia come back to win it? Time will tell!  (The game is now tied 45-45 with 55 seconds left! What will happen...I will let you know!)
Okay...GEORGIA WON!  Final score: 54-48 in double overtime!
Lots of happy folks in Georgia tonight!

Speaking of time...   Happy 2018 everyone!

  1. Some of my family saw the Star Wars and loved it. The movie you talked about seems really interesting too.

    1. I love movies that are based on true stories. They always have to "Hollywood them up" but I hope Clint Eastwood will do a good job with this one.

  2. Thanks for the heads up about the movie; bravo to Clint Eastwood for bringing this to the screen and for using the men rather than actors.

    1. That really was an incredible game, but you know me, it was the ad for the movie that made me hurry to my computer and to try and write a post to tell you about it!

  5. Congratulations on the Georgia victory! My son saw the Star Wars movie and thinks it is the second best of the whole series as did another friend who saw it with her husband. Andy went to the midnight showing the day it opened. I certainly plan to see it soon. Thanks for telling us about the new movie. There are a lot of good ones coming up, including some I would like to see with my grandchildren!

    1. I wish I could also see Jumanji, that looks so good! Our son was such a huge fan of the first one!
I MIGHT go and see the Stars Wars film but honestly, I might have to wait and see it on DVD! :-)

  6. Nice to know the football victory made you happy, Kay... were you watching it with your Dad on the phone? :-)
I have always been a Star Trek fan, never been much into Star Wars, that was more Steve's world.
It is certainly an unusual approach to a movie having the real life protagonists of an event play themselves, that really does sound like your kind of film.

    1. I called my Dad after the game was over. I didn't want to be on the phone with him and he would miss some of the plays and calls if he was concentrating on talking to me. Baseball is slower and therefore easier to converse on the phone at the same time!
Ah, you have reminded me...I MUST do my post about Star Trek!
YES! You know how much this is my kind of film!! I was very pleased to see that the men will play themselves, a most unusual thing for the director to do.

    1. Oh yes, Clint Eastwood has been directing movies for many years. I just looked it up, and the very first one he directed was "Play Misty For Me" and that was in 1971!
I think he is about 87 now and he is still directing!

  9. The 15:17 To Paris is not likely to be my type of movie I'm afraid. I expect I'll see the Star Wars movie at some time in the distant future though.

    1. You know, I think they should cast you in a Star Wars movie...can't you just see yourself in one of those costumes? I can somehow picture in long flowing robes of a deep purple. Let's see if this comes true!

I chuckle at your hair stylist making your hair look like Darth Vader. :) The same has happened to me.

Georgia vs. Alabama, who will win? You know on Monday night, the roads around here will be very quiet, everyone will be watching the game!
