Priory Church of St. Bartholomew the Great, London
I am not able to put any photos on this post and I had some very good ones to share with you!
We visited St. Bartholomew's in London. Maybe I will be able to add them later...
in the meantime, maybe I can show you a video on here from YouTube.
I'm not sure I've even heard of St Barthomelew's but I do love those classic old cathedrals. There's just something about churches that really appeal to me and a cathedral is basically that turned up to 11.
Mark, the old churches in London are fascinating to me, to walk into a church and to see and feel the steps worn down by centuries of the feet who have walked upon them, it fills you with such a sense of awe...it does me anyway.
What a wonderful video. but I do hope you will be able to post your own pictures sometime. This church is wonderful. If I ever return to London I will surely visit it.
Dennis, you would have loved to have seen this church. We saw another church that had a very different atmosphere about it, the one where they filmed "The Da Vinci Code"? Maybe it was just me, I might have to do a post about it!
An excellent building, a long time ago I worked nearby and often sat inside. Next door is St Barts Hospital and another church stands there also. This one is magnificent and ought to be on all tourists visiting agenda.
Yes! St Bartholomew the Less, attached to St. Barts Hospital...I managed to get us onto the hospital grounds...see the post I just did today (Nov. 6th!)
An interesting lesson about the Priory. Hope your picture posting ability returns.
ReplyDeleteSorry this was such a short post, hope you didn't mind the video!

I am getting the hang of this computer, everything takes me ages, always has done even when I was young and that was long ago!
