Darth Vader In A Revolving Door

Hello, my friends! Once again, I have to tell you that I have had very little time for the internet lately and have not been able to read your blogs! Does life get that way for you too? Like you are in a revolving door or something?  So busy it has been crazy!

Yes, that is yours truly in a revolving door at the Hydro Hotel in Eastbourne.  It is a bit sad to be excited about going through a revolving door and you ask your husband to take a photo.  I don't get out much.
Now, go back up and look at that first photo...that is also me in the balcony with the sun going down in the background.  This was in Bexhill.   When I showed this photo to our son, he laughed and said that I looked like Darth Vader.  Say WHAT! What woman wants to look like that?  (HA, of course, I had to laugh and say, "You are my SON!")  Well, it could be worse...at least he didn't compare me to Jabba the Hutt!  Sorry guys, I hope you all remember your STAR WARS characters!

In the news from my Dad, Sunshine just had a calf yesterday!  Cows carry their young for nine months, just like humans. Interesting that, isn't it?
Sunshine with her calf in December from last year.

How about a little ELO?  Yes, that sounds just right.

  1. ELO is alway good, Kay! I can so relate to not being able to get around to reading all the blogs I so want to read. Between a medical setback, followed by traveling with little opportunity to access the internet, I've been absent. Hope mother and baby are doing well. I've been spotting lots of Darth Vaders here in Las Vegas ~ storm troopers too! Have a good one, my friend!

    1. Hello Louise!
I hope you are fully recovered now, sweet lady!
You would love the cow with her calf, I hope to get a photo of the new calf on Thanksgiving!
And there's no telling what you see in Vegas these days! LOL. xx

  2. Perhaps your son thinks of you as a "larger than life" character? Seriously you look too tiny to be Darth Vader. You look more like Princess Leia except that instead of the white hooded robe that she normally wore you have donned a dark one.

    1. I think it was my haircut, it made my hair fan out, just like the helmet of Darth Vader! I should have worn some buns on the side of my head to look like Princess Leia! HA!

  3. Ha ha ha :-) Although I am a Star Trek girl and not a Star Wars one, I do know the characters and must say that in pictures where you are properly visible, you look nothing like Darth Vader :-)

Sunshine and her calf are so sweet! I love cows.

Yes, sometimes life gets like that. Hopefully things get back to normal for you soon.

    1. Yes! And I know that you must have noticed how so many people get the two mixed up! (Star Trek and Star Wars, I mean!) Doesn't matter one jot I know, but it is just something I have noticed.
I love cows too, hope to get a shot of the new calf soon!
My life has been so busy lately but so little seemingly done, the revolving door metaphor seemed apt.

    1. Yes, my son and I like to tease each other that way!
It amazes my Dad every time to see a calf being born and then, within hours it is running the length of the pasture.

Your wit is spot on, why don't you do stand up? I am telling you this now!

    1. I know, I wish I haven't been blogging due to some fantastic reason, but it has been busy at work, busy at home, busy at lots of things!
I like photos taken from far away, they are the best of me, usually! LOL

  9. I guess you could be thankful that your son has an active imagination! If you are a more charitable human than I am, that is. It's a lovely image and having someone standing on the balcony looking into the distance adds to it. Whoever that someone is.

  14. Congratulations to the new mother. Baby anythings are really cute, and that includes little baby cows. I still love revolving doors myself. One of the perks of all the time I've gone to the hospital is going through a lot of revolving doors. They have a fancy one that turns itself off if you get too close to the door so people can't get hit by it.

    1. Funny thing I just thought of...I wonder how many people have ever posted about revolving doors and cows in the same post? Not many, I bet!
I like the sound of the fancy revolving door, sounds practical, I like it!

  15. What joy for this mother with her newborn calf. I think they are both having a good life with your Dad.........And you're right. I'm sure there are not many blog posts with Darth Vader, revolving doors and cows in them.

    1. If the next Star Wars movie has Darth Vader raising cattle after he is hit in the head by a revolving door, then I know that George Lucas must read my blog! HA!
That Sunshine has become a pet, I think, I can't see him selling that cow!

  17. Congratulations to Sunshine! You could've played John Denver's "Sunshine on My Shoulder" for her!!! :)

Not being much of a Star Wars fan (I've only seen one of the movies...the first one, once, many years ago)...so I'm of no assistance!

As for the revolving door, there are times I think I'm trapped in one! lol

  18. I recognised that cupola at Bexhill straight away. Did you enjoy the De La Warr Pavilion while you were there?

    1. Yes! We did spend some time at the De La Warr Pavillon, I saw the artwork there and also sat outside on that upper deck looking out over the sea on a bright sunny day. The next day it was pouring with rain, and we sat inside and had tea at the café!
