Everything's Gonna Be Alright-Peace

Everything's going to be alright...

those are good words to hear from someone, don't you agree?
I have been worried about a close family member who has some serious health problems.  My clock radio clicked on this morning and I heard the last part of the song by David Lee Murphy "Everything's Going To Be Alright" on a country radio station. (He also wrote the song.)
Just in case you are thinking of other songs with that same title, you know I have them for you here!

And hey, don't worry about a thing, cause every little thing gonna be alright!

Guess what, that close family member I mentioned? MUCH better I am happy to say!  I am singing all these songs!

A few years back, I had a serious health issue myself...I had a very good friend who called me and said, "Hey, Kay, you know what...I have a peace about you."  Now, notice she didn't say that I would get well, she just said she felt a peace about it.  I instantly felt my body relax and my stress just evaporated..and all from those few words from a dear friend!  You never know how important your words can be, choose them wisely.

Peace to you all!

  1. I know it's coincidental, but this post is quite fortuitous. We have a friend now with an esophageal rupture which is very serious. We've been very worried. I love the idea of not promising good health returning, but peace.

    1. I heard a sermon once that said that when we are promised "comfort" in the Bible, it doesn't mean soft cushions but rather, it is more of a kind of strength. All of mankind is in need of that kind of comfort!

  5. Positivity is such an incredibly part of well-being. Of course it can never guarantee that ills will not happen. However I truly believe that negativity can have a deleterious affect.

I well remember your posts while in hospital and I am so certain that your nurses and doctors adored you for your gratefulness. x

    1. Yes, please do.
I didn't say but I have mentioned it before. I had a customer on 9/11/2001 who saw that I was very upset that day (as we all were.) I heard him say "The Peace of God". I looked up and he was gone. I quickly went out into the parking lot but no, he was gone. Was he an angel, a messenger from God?

  9. It is a good message and word: Peace. I don't know the song, but it is upbeat and positive, and that is what we all need. When I had a serious illness, it made such a difference having supportive friends send special messages of hope and kindness. So important.

    1. I only heard the very last bit of the song but it spoke to me and it was as if God must have wanted me to hear it.
Hope and kindness, so important. x

  10. I am so glad that your cousin is better. I am often in the pursuit of peace-sometimes I find it and other times it is illusive. I hope you have a great, blessed Sunday- xo Diana

  11. Like others here have said before me, I am glad your cousin is better!
When it comes to positive thinking, most of the time I do not find it hard to convince myself that everything will, indeed, be alright. But I know that is not true for so many people on this planet, in war-torn areas or where hunger reigns, and sometimes I feel ashamed for being so fortunate when others are not.

    1. As I am typing this to you, the report from South Florida is that 17 have died in a school shooting. I pray for all those families.

    1. And what I should also have said, sometimes people say the very worst things, but we should just let that be like water off a duck's back and forgive each other. After all, we all make mistakes.

  16. So glad that your relative is better. I believe that being at peace can make us healthier. I think our bodies work better when we are relaxed and not stressed. Something good to remember.
