Please tell me that you love this TV commercial as much as I do! And hope you all had a great summer and are looking forward to a ridiculously good autumn.
Love your butterfly photos, Kay. Just amazing to capture them with outspread wings. The gray and orange hues on the second butterfly are just spectacular.
And the advertisement is brilliant. Love the seagull playing the drums with his beak. Have a great weekend.
Thanks, Mairead! We saw this orange buuterfly at Stone Mountain with all the yellow daisies, and you would not believe it, but the other side of the wings, it is the most beautiful SILVER! Richard took the butterfly photos, he can hold very still, mine are always blurry. Glad you liked the TV ad too, once again, Richard saw this at night, and recorded it because he knew I would love it!! Good thing I mentioned English heart as part of my blog title!
Thanks, Debra! Most of our commercials are so bad, we were pleased to see a funny one. And that is really just a small dish-cloth that I crocheted as a gift, and I wanted it to be a Neapolitan ice cream one. I sometimes have these wild ideas that I take a lot of time over, and no one ever knows, except the nice people who read my blog, like you!! (It didn't take long to crochet it, but to find that exact shade of yarn? AGES!)
Ha ha ha, I do remember the original "Flock of Seagulls" band and how ridiculous we all found their hairdos - don't get me wrong, we had ridiculous hairdos, too, back in the 80s, but they were just so over the top! Summer coming to an end always makes me feel a bit melancholy; I so love the warm sun and so dread the cold days. Already this week, I've had days when my hands just wouldn't get warm unless I was holding a mug of hot coffee or working out at the gym... But autumn is beautiful, too, and I shan't complain!
I loved the 80's! Some things were over the top but it all seemed in good fun and somehow more innocent. Like you, I always feel a bit of the same way when summer ends. And being in Georgia, I should not feel that way, I should think of throwing a party thinking of the cooler weather to come!
So glad that you like that TV ad too. Richard saw this on recorded it so I could see it. Our TV ads are so bad! When there is a good one, I will try to share it with you! We need to laugh more, I think.
And thanks, Richard took the last 3 and I took the first 3!
Thanks, Tracey! I could have had some photos of our trip to England but they are on the other computer (that is not working) so I had to settle for the seagulls on this video. Of course, the sound of seagulls remind me of being in Eastbourne! And I love the sound of them.
How funny! I don't watch TV so I hadn't seen that commercial. Too cute! That is one of my favorite songs from my childhood. I love, love, love Fall and I'm just so excited it's finally here!!!
Audrey, I must tell you, I have left comments for years on other people's blogs and I would always write this...I LOVE LOVE LOVE whatever it was, fill in the blank, and I notice that you do the same thing! Funny, isn't it? Enjoy the Fall with your little girls, lucky you!
Well, thank YOU so very much for visiting me and leaving a comment. And I see you are now one of my followers but I like to think of them all as welcomed friends. Welcome, little friend!
Thanks, and it is so hard to get a good butterfly photo in Georgia. It's hot and they want to keep their wings closed! (Apparently, they spread their wings to warm up, and they don't need warming up in Hot Georgia in the summer!
You're right! That's one commercial that actually makes me want to go out and try those chips. There are so many yucky commercials out there, but this one makes you smile.

We don't have that commercial up here in Canada -- very funny, LOL! Also, love the Neapolitan afghan.

Yes, if only all commercials were this entertaining Kay!
ReplyDeleteIF ONLY! You need to make some TV ads yourself, you would be PERFECT to do this!
DeleteHahaha...loved the commercial, Kay. I can actually imagine seagulls doing that. They have the personality for it. Love the photos, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Martha! I kNEW you would love it too!
DeleteI took those first three photos. Richard is the better photographer, that is why if he is with me, I just turn the camera over to him!
Lol, Yes, I love the commercial, even though it has made me hungry!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, I cannot believe summer has ended.
Thanks, Tracey!

DeleteLove your photos and really like the cute video.
ReplyDeleteHey Kay!
DeleteTHanks so much! Don't you wish all the TV ads could be so funny?
I hadn't seen that commercial - very cute!
ReplyDeleteWhy is it so hard for us to have good ads on TV? I love ones that are clever and funny.
DeleteGreat video and I love, love those butterfly photos!
