I miss making Christmas cookies for my son, so here...I am going back in time to show you these! (The bird cookie cutter came free with an English magazine, don't you love it?)
When you have a live Christmas tree in a pot that is not really sold as a Christmas tree because the branches are so small, you have to be creative and make lightweight ornaments. Okay, problem solved! This tree started out small but it has grown over the years!
Here I am posing with Christopher from last year, we have it on our front porch now with lights. It is about one foot taller this year and fuller! It seems to like it on our front porch!
Wishing you as much love and joy as will fit inside my Dad's stocking! (You know I had to give him this!)
How wonderful to have a living Christmas tree to decorate every year as it gets bigger and bigger! I like the photo of your Christmas cookies too -- they look just like the decorated sugar cookies of my youth. Icing and sprinkles! Have a wonderful Christmas and may all your dreams come true!
ReplyDeleteIt is getting so big I might have to plant in the yard! Merry Christmas to you too and hope the new year brings you all you wish for.
DeleteMerry Christmas to you and your whole family!
ReplyDeleteAnd the same is wished for you. x
DeleteLovely pictures, Kay! Merry Christmas to you and your lovely loved ones, too!
ReplyDeleteHow come you are not wearing a Christmas jumper in the photo with Christopher? And what did you put in your Dad's huge stocking? :-)
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
DeleteWe were almost in the dark there but it is a green sweater with sparkly metallic gold thread so it is a BIT festive! (Matching my tree, I guess!)
What was in the giant stocking? Why, giant bags of bird seed! I have gotten my Dad interested in birds, and he LOVES seeing them visit him! :-)
Good Evening Kay, I love that your retired indoor Christmas tree is now living happily and growing outside on your porch.
ReplyDeleteAs our children grow, things do change, but I cannot help myself, I still bake if our girls are not coming home. If we don't eat what is baked I share it with my neighbours.
I adore your little crochet decorations, they are so pretty.
Have a wonderful Christmas with best wishes for 2018.
Daphne
I will often take things to my workplace, folks eat there like they have not eaten for weeks! LOL!
DeleteI love to make things, but I can only do simple things but they make me happy!
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
I love your Christmas tree. It is permanent! That is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all of you! Have a wonderful time.
My Permanent Christmas! Oh Martha, where are you when I am trying to think of a title for my post! :-)
DeleteThe very best wishes to you, my friend! Hope you have the most wonderful time! Stay warm!
Merry Merry Christmas to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteAnd the merriest is wished for you and yours!
DeleteLove it, Kay. That looks like an arborvitae? I have a hedge of them along one side of our property and love them. Things do change as life marches us along, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, sweet friend.9 xo Diana
It MIGHT be an arborvitae, but we are not sure. It was very tiny and sickly when I bought it, I hardly paid anything for it...but like Charlie Brown, we gave it lots of love and look at it now! That is what it is all about, isn't it?
DeleteThanks for all the love, Diana, keep spreading it around, my friend! Merry Christmas! xx (I love the 9 before the xo, that made me smile!)
Lovely set of photos. Merry Christmas Kay.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bob! Tell my fellow seasick friend, Alex hello for me! And hope you both have a wonderful Christmas!
DeleteMerry Christmas !
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Day to You!!
DeleteWishing you and all your family a joyful and blessed Christmas and a satisfying and accomplishful 2018!
ReplyDeleteThe very same is wished for you! Blessings on you and yours.
DeleteMerry Christmas, Kay.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Happy New Year to you! (Hope your Christmas was happy.)
DeleteMerry after Christmas, Kay. I am a bit late with blog comments due to being away from home for nearly 3 weeks before Christmas. Your little tree obviously likes it's porch home and how nice that you get to decorate and enjoy it for the holiday. I liked your dad's stocking the hope he smiled too, which he seems to be doing in the photo. We also didn't bake this year, but are planning a January baking session as cookies are not just for Christmas...right?
ReplyDeleteWish I could be around for your January baking session! Anytime is good for me with cookies! :-)
DeleteHappy New Year!
Merry Christmas and aloha from Hawaii, Kay.
