Hello, my friends! If you should meet me on top of Arabia Mountain one day, you know I will tell you of my love of the area!
This is exactly what I did today when Richard and I met a delightful couple there. You know I had to tell them of the wildflowers, the birds, the butterflies and well...a great many things! I also told them that I have my own blog...do you tell people that you have a blog? I don't usually but this couple seemed very interested in the area, so you know I had to tell them about Richard's great photos! And what better way for them to know Arabia Mountain than to see what we have seen and shared with you all!

Richard is such a great photographer, he can make even ME look good! (I think he was telling me to get just a BIT more behind him! Ha ha!)
I promise you I am NOT the origin of that phrase!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Nan. Sometimes, I feel like a crazy woman up in the attic, typing, typing, typing! Still, I say what I want to say and there is a quiet satisfaction in that.
DeleteI don't think one single person that I know reads my blog. Gee, you would think that someone would!
(Only my English friends read my blog with any regularity...see why I have an English heart?)

ReplyDeleteIt depends on who I am talking to whether I tell people about my blog or not. My family (and O.K.'s) of course know of it, they always read it and sometimes my Mum even comments. As for my Yorkshire family, I have mentioned my blog to them but they are not "big" internet/computer people and we rarely even exchange emails, it is mostly phone calls or text messages with them.
My German friends here are simply not interested. Could be because my blog is in English :-) None of my friends in offline life blogs.
It is as if we have secret blogs! I notice that Facebook and Instagram are very popular just now. Did you know that I have an Instagram account? I don't do much on there but I do like to look at quick photos of the things that interest me. Christopher set it up for me and I hope to see him this weekend, he has to take it from me and do the updates on it for me, I am hopeless at those kind of things!
DeleteLove your pine cone heart, and your beautiful photos of your mountain. I don't tell many people I have a blog, and only if I think they would enjoy it and the whole concept of blogging. Some family members read it and respond favourably, others take one look and don't come back! On the whole, I think the best readers and followers are other bloggers.

DeleteI don't really tell people I have a blog. Some people know already, but they aren't that interested in reading it. My sister read it when I first started, but I think she stopped too.
ReplyDeleteI tease my son...that not even my very own CHILD will read my blog! Oh well, when he has read it, he said it was good! People will look at me as if to say, "What are you selling?". It is frustrating.
DeleteI only tell people that I blog if it's the right oppertunity, like if I'm eating at a good place and want to take photo's of it, I usually asked permission first and tell them why. They love the free advertising. You know I love Georgia!

DeleteI am sure you have a good response when you tell others you have a blog, but perhaps no one expects much of me that is why I usually get a blank stare.
Good Evening Kay, When I tell friends that I write a blog, I do get a range of reactions, some people are really interested and others look at me and you can see they feel very uncomfortable, which I find really odd. Whereas my daughters shout it from the rooftop and tell anyone who will listen about my blog.

DeleteThe photo of the pebbly beach is in Eastbourne. If you are ever there, it is at the very end of the seafront, near the Redoubt...it used to be called Splashpoint.
My blog...it is a place where I can write about things that interest me, things that inspire me, things that find to be funny, things of beauty. I love sharing these kinds of things. I like the English coastline around that area, loads of great little towns. I do tell people about my blog and hand out cards but only because I write books and I make a half hearted effort every now and again to sell a few- with mixed results. Usually people glaze over or try to escape and shuffle away...or even worse they hand me a card promoting their blog instead :o)
