Our son always loved Santa Claus and he didn't mind going to see the Santa Claus at the Mall, but that was just someone helping out the REAL Santa who just happened to be at the Kroger right here in Conyers, Georgia! In the photo above, can you see from Christopher's face how pleased and happy he is to be with the REAL Santa? And also, a little in awe of him I believe because that gentleman behind the fake beard is Bernie Bourdon, you may read about him from this post from two years ago! Christopher has always been smart, he knew he was in the presence of someone very special.
If you are ever asked to dress as Santa, you may want to remember to bring a ROUND cushion with you, just in case that the SQUARE ones are all they can find in the store!! HA!!
Can you guess who this is behind the beard? ;-)
HO HO HO!
Merry Christmas!
Such a cute photo! I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas, Kay!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenny! And a wonderful Christmas to you and yours too!
Deletethats so funny, yep, need to remember round pillow!
ReplyDeleteImagine a department store not being able to find a round cushion! Oh well, it made me laugh anyway! Merry Christmas!
DeleteWhat a fabulous, funny expression!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment! Hey! Would love to have a new follower! HINT HINT!
DeleteMerry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Kay.I Like your three singers in the top photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Christopher made the middle singer at school when he was just a wee lad, I made the other two myself just to keep that one company! Funny thing, his is BETTER than the two that I made! HA!
DeleteMerry Christmas to you in Blue Sky Scotland!!
It's lovely! This Santa-at-the-Mall thing is something I only know from films and books, it wasn't the custom here when I was a child, and now of course I am way too big to sit on Santa's lap, he he
ReplyDeleteBoth pictures are lovely, and it's wonderful to know that the same person who as a little boy loved meeting Santa now plays the same role himself.
Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family, dear Kay! I don't know whether my card arrived; yours did last week and is now proudly sitting on the sideboard in the living room, surrounded by many others, mostly from England.
Santa Claus! I love him too! I MAY be the reason that C. always loved Santa so much, he got his musical ability from Richard but he had to get SOME things from me! Now, they don't allow children to sit on the laps of the Santa Clauses...they must sit on a little bench BESIDE Santa, that is how C. was told to do it anyway!
DeleteYES! Thanks for telling me you got my card and thanks for the card that you sent me! You know, the heart on the card follows me around the room very much like the eyes of a portrait sometimes do...it's lovely! Thank you!
Merry Christmas to you, to RJ, to your sweet Mum & Dad, and to your sister too, and to all in Germany! Hope you had your Christmas tree with real candles, I love that you have that! (Merry Christmas to you relatives in England too!)
Merry Christmas !
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and to your family!
DeleteWishing you the BEST!
Christopher makes a great Santa! Wishing you, Richard and Christopher a wonderful Christmas. x
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julie! Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas too!
DeleteMake sure you pull a Christmas cracker for me and have a giggle over the jokes and riddles! xx Oh, and enjoy your English chocolate, the best in the world! SHHH....don't tell anyone, it will be OUR secret! xx
Hi Kay: What a cute little boy and the grown up Santa is pretty cute too.
ReplyDeleteI have just received a picture of Kate with a Santa hat on and surrounded by toy penguins(don't ask!) - that was pretty cute as well! Received your very pretty Christmas card - thank you. Does Stone Mountain ever get snow on it? Is that a silly question?!
Wishing you a very happy Christmas and a Peaceful, Healthy and Best of New Years. xx
Hey Pat! Thanks! You KNOW I think he is a cutie!!
DeleteI must tell you, your photo of Kate learning to ride a bike is one of my favorite photos that I saw this past year, it makes me want for you to have your own blog so you can share photos like that one!! I would love to see Kate with the toy penguins, sounds cute!
YES! We do get snow in Georgia which means that Stone Mountain gets it too and because it is so unusual it makes it much more special.
Oh, I am hoping the very same for you, a happy Christmas and a Peaceful, Healthy and Best of New Years. Always. xx
She travels all over the world -who knows one day she might get to Georgia again and you could meet up - that would be fun wouldn't it?
DeleteLook for an email from me in a short while - I will attach the "penguin" picture. x
Yes! Wouldn't it be great to see Kate waving at you from the top of Stone Mountain and I could even be beside her in that same thin pink shirt that you keep seeing in my photos!! Great fun to think of that!
DeleteGood, I was hoping for the "penguin" picture!! ;-) xx
The square cushion made me LOL! At least he grew up to be his hero though.
ReplyDeleteDear Debra,
DeleteYOU have brought so many laughs to me, I am happy to do the same for you!!
Joys to you! xx
Those are smile-makers!
ReplyDeleteYes, most certainly!
DeleteHappy Christmas!!

Good gosh! Is that the cutest, handsomest Santa I've ever seen or what? Have a wonderfully happy Christmas, Kay and your sweet hubby as well.
ReplyDeleteYes! You know I think that C. makes the handsomest Santa ever!!
DeleteHope you and Art also have a very happy holiday! Still thinking of you and Art & your Mum holding the sunlight in your hands, one of the BEST photos ever! Keep looking for the light! xx

Santa sometimes looks scary, but these ones look ok! Merry Christmas to you Aunty Kay!!!
ReplyDeleteC. always loved Santa, he was never afraid of him the way some children are, he got that from ME!!
DeleteMerry Christmas to you, sweet Rebecca, have fun with your little sister and baby brother! Hug your Mom for me! :-)
Go Christopher! I am sure he had loads of fun with it.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think that he did! That square cushion though....I will advise him to take a round cushion to work with him if he is asked again!
DeleteThe magic of being a kid and sitting on Santa's knee. I can almost remember it. Hope Santa brought you lots of goodies, Kay!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope you had a lovely Christmas too! I watched a TV show about New Zealand yesterday and thought of you! They rescued a kiwi and then released back into the wild, magical place!
DeleteHehe:-)
ReplyDeleteLovely photo of your son and Santa.
Whis you still a happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
