Chas & Dave, I adore them! Richard's sweet parents gave us the Chas & Dave Jamboree Bag as a cassette tape when our son was very little and we ALWAYS listened to this in the car. Our son might count them as one of his earliest musical influences! There are some very old songs on here, some are classics and some you might not have ever heard of before, but they are all great songs. This is a 25 minute video, listen to it and get up and move around! You don't have to dance, you could just jog in time to the music or lift weights, or just walk quickly around!
There, don't you feel better? Chas & Dave have a NEW album out, the first one in 20 years. They recently performed for Prince Charles! And Richard and I laughed at one of the comments left by someone under the photo of them meeting him...it said, "Proper royalty and Prince Charles"! Funny!
It was about this time last year that our son was singing Christmas songs at a local department store. Hey! You gotta start out somewhere! Keep on singing/playing/writing, son. You might get to play with Chas & Dave one day, here's hoping!
Hope everyone is enjoying the last days before Christmas! Don't let the crazy shoppers get you down. Keep Christmas in your heart all year round!
Yep, keep moving, keep smiling! Trust you are enjoying a peaceful Christmas season :)
ReplyDeleteHello Janice!
DeleteHope you are doing well these days! I know you are very busy so I am very grateful for your comment! Hope you are enjoying a peaceful time before Christmas and that you and your family will have a joyous time during the holidays! xx
Yup! I am standing here dancing while I listen to Chas and Dave. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYay! Kay is dancing! So happy that you like them too. Take care! x
DeletePrince Charles is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Royal Family, poor bugger. "He don't get no respect."
ReplyDeleteI just thought the comment was funny, I really like Prince Charles! I love that he has always been an advocate for organic farming. (Lots of people have made fun of that about him but I love him for it.)
DeleteNow, I must also say that I love Rodney Dangerfield! So funny...take my wife, PLEASE!
I remember when you posted about Christopher's Christmas singing at the store, with that one lady joining in, it was a great video!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about the "crazy shoppers". There is really no need for all that, since we ALL know all year when Christmas is there, it never simply pops up, but is a fixture on the calendar, and it is up to ourselves to make sure we don't need to rush out for any last-minute stuff.
Yes! I did have a post of C. singing as a post, I wondered if anyone would remember!
DeleteI can't help but feel a bit stressed out when I go out this time of year, just being around these folks is a bit much for me!
Great music is the best way to keep moving so you don't rust!
ReplyDeleteThere is always so much to do but we need to remember to get exercise, it is so important! I love to do housework with several CD's set up on "shuffle", and I clean and dance all over my house! (If anyone sees me, they will think I have lost my mind!)
DeleteKay, Your son is a looker. He'll make it big one day. Good to get gifts you can really enjoy such as music. Blessings, xoxo, susie
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susie! Here's hoping! Isn't music the best! Those tapes that my in-laws sent us were played so much, our son knows them by heart! And so do we! xx
DeleteWow! What happy music! Thanks, Kay!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it too, Kristi! I love Chas & Dave, the world needs to know about them!!
