For me, music is the best way to communicate. :-) (By the way, just saw a recording of President Obama singing "Amazing Grace" at the funeral in Charleston, SC after the nine were murdered in the church there, very moving.)
I'm not at all surprised you posted this song. I teared up when I heard it - the only part of the whole day I did hear - this should be our national anthem.
I didn't think much of that day, everything was so over the top but this song...it was wonderful. I also agree, we really should have it as our National Anthem AND it is easier to sing! :-)
I love this song and I thought the Mormon Tabernacle Choir did a great job singing it! Thanks for your comment, Mairead! I could have written more, but I just wanted the words of the song to say how I felt! x
Lovely songs and symbols, Kay! We were all singing "Proud to be an America" at our community dance on Saturday night. btw, I'm cheering for Atlanta in the Super Bowl FOR YOU!
God bless America and each and every person! xo Diana

DeleteI'm not a Trump fan, but hopefully we can come together as a nation and go forward.
ReplyDeleteNotice I did not mention any names in my post! Don't like to get into political discussions myself just want everyone to have respect for all people.
DeleteYes, God Bless America!

Delete"Crown Thy Good With Brotherhood From Sea To Shining Sea" - this is the perfect quotation as a title for your blog post on this day. I love how you marked Inauguration Day with this wonderful song. May God Bless America and all her people.

Wishing your country well, and I did enjoy the Morman Tabernacle Choir, who sang wonderfully, as ever. This is a great patriotic song.
