Who Was Born On Your Birthday? (Sorry If DaVinci Wasn't Born on YOURS!)
If you were born on April 15th, you share a birthday with...wait for it...Leonardo da Vinci! Now, I am sure that there are many who have this day as their date of birth also but they are not as gifted as the great da Vinci. Still, it is nice to know if today is your birthday.
So, who shares your birthday? Tell me, I want to know!
By the way, my birthday is today and it is a lovely time of year in Georgia. (My sister lives in Colorado and she just got two feet of snow!)

DeleteHappy Birthday,Kay! The sun is shining and that is a great gift!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful day, I am happy I took the day off work!
DeleteHappy birthday, Kay! I hope you have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteA couple of famous people I share my birthday with:
Thomas Edison and Sidney Sheldon (one of my favourite authors).
Thank you, Martha!
DeleteI will be expecting a great invention from you OR a great book!
Happy Birthday, dear Kay!!! I'm sorry I didn't know (or remember?) it was/is today; I would have liked to send a card.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you share your birthday not only with Leonardo, but also with Claire Helen - my friends' little daughter who was born this morning at 3.00 am! I am rather excited for the young family.
And I share my birthday with William Shatner - and with my own great-grandfather, I was born 100 years after him on the day. Don't know how my parents managed to time it that well ;-)
I remember that my mother told me that I was born about 11:30 in the morning, just in time for lunch! LOL!
DeleteSmiling on you having the same birthday as William Shatner, you are always boldly going about your way!
AND to be born exactly 100 years to the day after your great grandfather, that is a special thing!
Happy Birthday, Kay!!! Yay! How wonderful to have a spring birthday.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kay! I have always loved my April birthday, everything is green and blooming, it's pretty!
DeleteHappy Birthday! May you have a wonderful celebration today! I don't know who was also born on my birthday, but I know that the delightful actor/comedian/author Stephen Fry was born just a couple of days after me, so we're almost the same age.
ReplyDeleteYes, he is funny but NOT as funny as you are!! :-)
DeleteAnd thank you, I took the day off work so that makes it a great birthday, with a long weekend!
Well Happy Birthday to you! You don't need a famous person because to me you're a famous blogger! Ha! Hope your day is wonderful and we're finally getting good weather too. 70de today and sunny and it will be like that all weekend! Very different from last weekend with 8in. of snow and I don't live anywhere near Colorado! (I think my birthday is shared by Liz Taylor...maybe)
ReplyDeleteHA! I think I will get a T shirt made with the words "FAMOUS BLOGGER' emblazoned on the front!
DeleteOh, that snow you showed us! Wow, glad you have sun again!
Liz Taylor? Doesn't surprise me, she is ALMOST as good looking as you are!
Many happy returns of the day to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mimi!
DeleteA very Happy Birthday to you my lovely!! I have always been proud to say that I share my birthday with Peter Sellars (that's why I have a weird sense of humour!). Have a fantastic day xx
ReplyDeleteOh! You are just after my husband, his is Sept. 7th!
DeleteAnd we need more like you and Peter Sellers, funny people to make us laugh!
Oh did you ask for it! I will list a choice few. Rupert Grint, Vince McMahon, Rocky Johnson, Shoichi Funaki, Mike Hauckabee, Cal Ripken Jr, Yasser Arafat, Marlee Matlin, Dave Chappelle, Kenny Baker (R2D2), Aleksey Konstantinovich Tolstoy, Richard Cardinal Cushing, Carlo Gambbino, Durward Kirby, Wynonie Harris, Steve Guttenberg. Whew! I left out a whole bunch but I bored you long enough.
ReplyDeleteYes, and I thank you for telling me. You had me at Rupert Grint, he was my favorite Harry Potter character, Ron!
DeleteHappy birthday, Kay!!!
ReplyDeleteWell of course I had to look up February 4 birthdays. I share mine with Rosa Parks and Charles Lindbergh. Nice.
But also Alice Cooper. :(
Thank you for your well wishes!
DeleteAt least you don't wear as much makeup as Alice Cooper!!
I got so excited I forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday. I hope it is everything you deserve.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I hope I don't what I deserve, I will get nothing! HA!!
DeleteThanks for your well wishes. :-)
Happy birthday! As a child growing up in Australia I was happy to have my birthday the day after Australia Day which I thought was a holiday in my honour. Now I will only remember that my mother died on my birthday (earlier this year).
ReplyDeleteYour mother would not want you to be sad about her death on your birthday, as a mother, I just am certain of it!
DeleteI am sorry for your loss.
Australia Day being the day before your birthday, you are lucky to have the two together!
Happy birthday Kay! I have 2 born on my birthday, Confucius and Brigette Bardot.
ReplyDeleteA very unlikely two but then again, maybe not!
DeleteThanks for your birthday wishes!
A very happy birthday to you! For my birth date of May 6, Orson Welles, George Clooney, Patricia Lawford, Bob Seger, Rudolph Valentino, Theodore White and Sigmund Freud! Hope you've had a great day!
ReplyDeleteWell, that is a talented bunch, so that should make you happy! May 6 is a lovely time for a birthday too!
DeleteA very Happy Birthday, Kay...I hope you celebrate it in fine style and at length! :)
ReplyDeleteI was born on my birthday...11th November. Leonardo DiCaprio was born on 11th November, as was the late comedian Jonathan Winters. So too, actors Callista Flockhart and Stanley Tucci.
The late Colonel David Hackworth (whom I knew...and who was a fine guy), the most highly decorated soldier in the US Army, author, War Correspondent during the Gulf War also shared the same date as me. David is buried at Arlington Cemetery. H
Daisy Bates, Civil Rights' Leader and George Patton also were born on 11th November. Abigail Adams, wife of the 2nd President of the US, John Adams joins this illustrious list!
Have yourself a wonderful birthday celebration/s!! :)
That is a GREAT list of people!
DeleteAnd you knew "Hack"! Have you written a post about him? If not, please do so!
And thanks for the birthday wishes!
I did write about David a long while ago, now, Kay...but I will write about him again. He was a wonderful guy....very interesting; as funny as hell...loved life, but I'd not like to have ever gotten on his bad side. I was glad to be his friend and not his foe. He had such a strength about him, if you know what I mean. A fine looking man, too.
DeleteI do wonder if you should write a book of your experiences and of all the interesting people you have met!
DeleteHappy Birthday, Kay. Had your mom only known that she might have called you Leona (shortened form of Leonardo)....glad she didn't know...I think Kay suits you a whole lot better. lol
ReplyDeleteHope yo have a wonderful weekend and that the whole weekend is a special one. xo Diana
Dear Diana,
DeleteYour comment is like a gift from heaven. My Dad's dear sister, my Aunt Leona, died in 1996 and was a much beloved Aunt. She was so funny, she never wrote my name as "KAY" she always put an "e" on the end, "KAYE" just because she liked it better! It always tickled me.
She is the one who gave us our giant cereus cactus and also...if you remember my Daddy having the Roosevelt Bible from just after WW2, he sent it to Leona from Germany, his cherished little sister.
And it will be a memorable weekend, my niece is getting married today (April 16th), you know the one who had the Black and White shower back in Feb.? So, it should be very special indeed! xx
Happy Birthday Kay :) And how wonderful to share it with such a great man. I am not sure if there is anyone out there that I share mine with, but I guess I will have to check that out some time soon. Have a great weekend and thanks for visiting and leaving such a nice comment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteYou only have it to type it into a search engine and bang...there will be the list of those who share your birthday! Let me know!
DeleteHope you have a lovely weekend too!
Happy birthday Kay! I share my birthday with Peter O'Toole and Isabel Allende - very different people! X
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, just like yourself! xx
DeleteHappy Birthday !
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am sure that April 15th is a day that YOU will always remember too! :-)
DeleteHappy Birthday! I share my birthday with Louis Zamperini, Maria von Trapp, Ellen DeGeneris, Paul Newman, Douglas MacArthur to name a few........and there are a few I'd rather not share it with, but it was fun to look it up!
ReplyDeleteDaVinci is a wonderful birthday twin.....
I love all the ones that you mention, and I am with you...if I DON't like sharing a birthday with someone, I will keep it quiet! :-)
DeleteYou know I love Mr. Zamperini! :-)
Happy Birthday, Kay.
ReplyDeleteAloha from Hawaii.
Thank you, my dear! :-)
DeleteHappy Birthday Kay, I share mine with Ginger Rogers and Barbara Stanwyck :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I like them both very much so I would think you must be one great lady too! :-)
DeleteHappy late birthday Kay. I hope you had a good one. The two people I'm happiest to be sharing a birthday with are Stevie Nicks and John Wayne.
ReplyDeleteThank you! And I like both of them, you are in great company!
DeleteIt's funny you mention Stevie Nicks, when I knew I was going o the nature hike on my birthday, I kept singing, "Climbed a mountain, and I turned around"...you know, the "Landslide" song, I think it was! :-)
Kay, I was driving in my car today and it hit me that I had probably missed your birthday!!! I'm so sorry but wanted to wish you happy belated wishes. I hope you had a lovely day!!! Mine is coming soon and I share a birthday with one of my most favorite people of all time....Carol Burnette!!! Yay!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your birthday wishes! And no worries, I celebrate the whole month long! :-)
DeleteCarol Burnett! Lucky you, she is so funny and talented...I LOVE that she is such good friends with Julie Andrews, another great lady, right?
