I am one of three sisters. That's me on the left! How do you fit in your family? The studious one, the pretty one, or the goofy one? (Oh, let's not call it "goofy", let's say "funny", yes, let's do!)
Dreaming of fresh air by the sea...in Eastbourne, in England Sept. 2014...
How funny! What a great picture! I'm one of two sisters - the older one. And the one who did everything a little differently - moved to a different county, reinvented herself as an artist, etc... It's good to be goofy!! xoxo Silke
ReplyDeleteThat must be my problem, I am an artist trapped in a working woman's body! xx
DeleteLove It- Always wished I had a sister. Never did-only ones by choice....
ReplyDeleteYour book is on its way I am told. xo Diana
I bet you have lots of women who would call you a sister under the skin!
DeleteOh good, I am looking forward to the book! Thanks! xx
I have, let's count them, three sisters. Yes, three. They're all pretty nice. They were all living in the same area too but have since split up, except the youngest who still lives with my mother.
ReplyDeleteThree sisters, I bet they all adore you! Sisters love to fuss over their brothers, whether they like it or not! :-)
DeleteWhat triggered that off, I wonder?
ReplyDeleteI'm one of two sisters - the younger one, and of the two of us, the "sporty" and nerdy one :-)
I saw this photo on Richard's Facebook and since I liked it so much, I wanted to share it and me having two sisters myself, it was perfect!
DeleteTo be honest, my sisters are not only pretty, but very smart and funny too!
I am one of two sisters -- one with a golden heart and gentle disposition -- and then there's me !
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, Chris, you are in the same boat with me! LOL.
DeleteThere are three of us sisters. I am the oldest and I have two roles. I am the goofy one and also the caretaker. The next sister is the "misunderstood" one who never got anything she ever asked for (at least not fast enough). Number three is the baby. She is supremely quiet.
ReplyDeleteHey! I think we might have a lot in common! (I am the middle sister though.)
DeleteMight be too much fresh air by the sea along the English south coast the last few months. Especially in winter :o) I recently heard nearby Brighton referred to as the "San Francisco of the UK." No idea why though.
ReplyDeleteCute cats.
That's interesting. I wonder if Brighton is called that because San Francisco is very "artistic", attracting many writers and artists? Or because of the price of living there? Anybody know?
DeleteI have 4 brothers but only one sister and she's a gem! She's the one who can fix or do anything. I can't imagine having another sister. We're very close and can almost feel each other's pain at times. (when I had my knee surgery she woke up with pain in her knees the same day..weird huh?!) She lives with and helps take care of my Mom and does a fantastic job of it....can you tell I think she's the greatest?
ReplyDeleteI bet your sister wished she could take away that pain from your knees, she sounds like such a great sister! No excuse me, the GREATEST!
Delete:-)
I was the youngest and the only girl; also a tomboy. And growing up with two brothers was a lot of fun. That is a great shot of you by the water!
ReplyDeleteI was a bit of a tomboy too. My son has inherited my love of sports!
DeleteI like that photo too, From now on, all photos of me will be of the back of my head, must be my good side! LOL.
I'm the oldest of 3. Had 1 sister and have a brother. I'm several years older than both of them, 6 and 8 years. They were quite close and me, not so much. My sister and I always seemed on different paths our whole lives. However, we regained some of our closeness over the last few years. Sadly, she passed away last year from cancer. I miss her.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture above. (Well, the cat one, but the one of you is lovely too.) If it had 2 cats, the left one would be my sis. Always walked her own path and even better if it was one filled with chaos and upheaval. LOL
Oh Kay, I think I remember you writing about your sister and asking us to pray for her. I am sorry for your loss.
DeleteGlad that you regained closeness in the last part of her life. xx
I have two sisters and am the oldest of our trio. Aren't we the blessed ones! Sisters are special !
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky! I am the middle one, you might have guessed that! :-)
DeleteNo sisters, just two younger brothers. It's different with brothers.
ReplyDeleteI have two younger brothers myself!
DeleteI was the middle of 3 sisters, the oldest was the pretty, smart one, the youngest was the baby, so I became the funny one in the middle.
ReplyDeleteLike me, you are the middle sister, the funny one!
DeleteReally, my sisters are funnier than I am, but don't tell them that, they are already smart and pretty, can't give them everything, can we? :-)
Cute little kitties.
ReplyDeleteLove that shot of you.
Yes, back of my head is the best look for me.
DeleteI always wanted a sister as I just have an annoying younger brother! I'm the serious, clever one. He's the outgoing joker. x
ReplyDeleteWell, SOMEONE has to be the straight man! :-)
DeleteYes, I am another who always wanted a sister and never had one........But all my kids do..........So I get to be all the sister types.........
ReplyDeleteYes, you are all of them rolled into one! :-)
DeleteWell, at least you know your role!
ReplyDeleteYes, Debra, SOMEONE has to keep the world going with laughter, that is my job and I am doing the best I can!
DeleteOooh, I always wanted a sister but I only had a stinky little brother!!! We were also almost 7 years apart in age and complete opposites. I was the good kid. It does make me happy to have 2 girls/sisters (although I know I've mentioned before that I wanted 3 girls ~ Clara made damn sure that I didn't have more!)! I hope they're close, more than just about anything!
ReplyDeleteStinky little brother! So funny, I have two little brothers, so I know what you mean! Your girls will be close even though they might be very different. That Clara, she reminds me of ME! LOL.
DeleteHmmm I see you as the quiet refined shy one in the middle...
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't know about that but if you give me a book you won't hear a peep out of me.
DeleteThere was only my late brother and me. He was older than me. Actually, yesterday, 28th February was his birthday. Of course, I was the pretty one, the smart one...oh...I shouldn't be so humble...I was the beautiful one, the brilliant one!!!! *wink* Just kidding.... :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I am sorry that you lost your brother. I bet you were both very smart and funny and made quite a pair as you were growing up!
DeleteI have 4-brothers and I'm one of the 3-sisters. One older and one younger. The elder one is the nurturer with a heart of gold, I'm the goofy one, and the younger one has the heart of an angel. And I'm the goofy one. ;) I'm so thankful that the Lord gave them to me. He knew I needed them.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is it exactly, isn't it? Like you, the middle child must need the older and the younger one, works out well, doesn't it?
DeleteI am sure that you are a great sister - it is always good to have someone funny around! xx
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't know if I am a great sister, but I like the sound of it! :-)
