Hello everyone! I hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas! (I do still say y'all, it means YOU ALL and that is just what I mean to say!)
Looking forward to the new year?
Look, here is my Dad's REAL tabletop Christmas tree!
And my fake one! When the sun lit it up, it looked nice!
We had a lot of rain but it cleared up, just in time for Christmas!
You know how much JOY I wish for all of you in the coming year? As much joy as you can see in the following photo....
This is my Dad wearing one of the paper crowns that you get in a Christmas cracker! He loved it!
And for some reason, gave himself "horns" when the photo was taken! Everyone should have as much fun as my Dad.
Sunshine had a calf the weekend before Christmas, isn't he beautiful? Wishing you joy and beauty!
Your photos are joyful, Kay...how could I not be in a good mood after seeing these? :)
ReplyDeleteI had a nice, quiet Christmas...still ate too much (and still have too many tempting goodies hanging around the place...oh...well, someone has to do it...eat them - and seeing I'm the only one here...the job lands in my lap...in more ways than one)! :)
I hope you and your family have a wonderful 2015. Cheers and best wishes from Down Under. :)
Thanks, Lee! And of course, my husband took the photos, he takes the best ones!
DeleteYou know some of those goodies you still have around, you can send them to me!
Wishing you a wonderful 2015 also!
Thank you for sharing your Christmas with us. It certainly looks like a joyful time.
ReplyDeleteJoyful but over too quickly! Happy new year to you!
DeleteIt's antlers your Dad is giving himself there, isn't it? :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth your trees, the real tabletop one at your Dad's, and your incredibly intense one, are great! Love the last picture. A Mother & Child scene as touching as they get.
All the joy to you and your dear family for 2015, dear friend!
Antlers! Yes, that makes more sense! Do you know that people get fake antlers for their cars, along with a big red ball on the front to make them look like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer! HA!
DeleteThe cow and calf photo...we got to my Dad's on Christmas Eve day, it was SO foggy, you could barely see a thing, but I asked R. to get that photo of the sweet calf with his mother, and you can see what a great job he did!
All the BEST of joy to you and your sweet family in 2015, dear Meike!!
Lovely picture of the calf!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the Christmas season!
I MIGHT have been called a dozy old cow a time or two, but honestly, I think cows are wonderful!
DeleteHappy Christmas to you too!
I think, Kay, that we should have as much joy in our lives as we can all the time. To quote an early post from a fellow blogger Virginia "Surround yourself with happy thoughts, and make every day count." I think your Dad's great.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad IS great! Wish you could meet him, he is one amazing fellow, honestly!
DeleteAnd this was on my calendar earlier in the month:
FOR SOMEHOW, NOT ONLY AT CHRISTMAS,
BUT ALL THE LONG YEAR THROUGH,
THEY JOY THAT YOU GIVE TO OTHERS,
IS THE JOY THAT COMES BACK TO YOU."
John Greenleaf Whittier
I like that.
DeleteI love the pictures especially the one of your dad. Wishing you a joyful New Year !
ReplyDeleteThat is a photo of one joyful soul! May everyone feel that when they see it! Joyful New Year to you!!
DeleteThat calf is beautiful. That sounds like a wonderful and merry Christmas all around. We got snow the day after Christmas and it's still here now. Even as a born and bred Englishman I occasionally say "Y'all".
ReplyDeleteDo you say "y'all:? That is interesting! You might be able to understand me! LOL.
DeleteSunshine is a beautiful cow, and her calf looks just like she did as a calf.
Happy New Year! May it be bright and beautiful and with lots of laughter and joy!
ReplyDeleteYou know, my Dad has wrinkles, but since he is always smiling, you don't notice them!! Laughter and joy to you too!!
DeleteAnd I wish joy and beauty for you and all your family, Kay!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kristi, and the very same is wished for you and yours!
DeleteSeems like you had a great Christmas with family.
ReplyDeleteIt was and I hope you had the same! xx
DeleteWhat a lovely post! I hope 2015 is a lovely one for you! Your dad looks like a great person to have around !
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jenny Woolf!! And the same good wishes for 2015 for you!
DeleteYou wouldn't believe my Dad, I need to write a book about him!!
Looks like two happy families at Christmas. Nice photos.Great period town street as well.
ReplyDeleteMy husband took these photos. That header photo is of what they now call "OLDE Town" Conyers. The main development (with all the ugly fast food restaurants and shops) built up a few miles away, but this street beside the train depot and railroad tracks looks much the same as it did years ago (except for the loud colors of some of the buildings.) Several movies have been made here...Joyful Noise, and also the new movie, "Selma". Also, the TV show "Vampire Diaries" is filmed here...they hang Spanish moss on the trees to make you think it is New Orleans! But it is Conyers, Georgia....I promise you!
DeleteOooh, Kay, I loved all of these photos. It was such a happy post. Your Dad is so precious and I adore the photo of you with Christopher and the baby calf. I wish you the very happiest of New Years and I'm hoping 2015 brings me back to my blog!!! Ha ha. XOXO
ReplyDeleteHey Audrey!!!
DeleteSo happy to see your comment here! I have missed your posts but just come back when you are ready!! And you know you need to come and meet my Dad, you know you do!! Happiest of 2015 to you and your hubby and sweet girls!! xxxx

DeleteHappy 2015 to you!! xxx

Wishing y'all a joyous new year
Henry
Hey Henry!
DeleteMy Daddy had never even heard of a Christmas cracker before, but he really liked the little hat and the jokes!
Wishing all of you a very happy new year! xx
As much as I like looking at stunning photos, I also like looking at photos of ordinary things that tell stories of every day. Pictures that capture emotions and moments are just heartwarming. Thanks for posting them here.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a marvelous 2015, Kay! :)
Happy 2015 to you too!
DeleteHappy New Year Kay! I see that the sun is out in Georgia!
