Richard took this photo about 11:20 this morning! |
The ice is melting, the high is supposed to be 45 degrees. This is the song that I am singing today...
My company will be open for half the day today so I must get ready. I have always loved the blue color of the sky, I was very glad to see it today. It was still snowing this morning with a very grey sky. Take care everyone!
Your lucky Kay! The snow is coming down hard here in Virginia.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm glad you have blue skies again. I can't wait for Spring.
~John
Hey John!
DeleteI cannot tell you how happy I was to see the grey clouds break away and the blue sky revealed in all its glory!
Wow, we are still getting pummeled with snow.....these MASSIVE fat flakes are just pouring down. It's really one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. The girls and I just went for a walk! Glad you have blue skies and be careful on your way to work and home again! XOXO
ReplyDeleteI can just hear your girls squealing with delight over the massive fat flakes of snow! Thanks for your well wishes for us in this icy mess, much appreciated!
Deletexx
Blue sky here this morning, too - but it rained a lot in the afternoon, and the sky was so grey and dark we needed the lights on at the office hours before we normally do. Never mind, the rain was over by the time I left work :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely picture!
Ha! I JUST had time to pop it on there and do that very quick post before I dashed off to work! Don't know if you can tell, but the tree trunk is still encased in ice, but it was melting quickly...it should be a grey trunk but where you see white, that is the ice!
DeleteGlad you have some warmer temps to melt the ice. Take care !
ReplyDeleteBless you for your well wishes!
DeleteKay, You know I love the sky and sun. Yesterday, I was thinking of when I was about 13, how much I wanted a dress the color of the sky. I did have a beautiful blue dress when I was about 26, it brought back that memory too. Hope you are safe from all the nasty weather. We are having another sunny day and it is warmer, around 30 later. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI love the color of a blue sky, absolutely love it...it is not light blue, not a dark blue, but the most perfect shade of a medium blue...even as a little girl, I loved it! Love of you wanting a dress in sky blue, glad you are having some good blue sky memories! :-)
DeleteSo good to hear that the blue skies of Georgia are back. Our weather is just grey, a bit windy and showery and quite mild for this time of year. How lucky are we!. S.E. of England is covered in floods - S.W. of England had a hurricane yesterday - so much damage and now another storm is coming across the Atlantic from the direction of America. Glad your ice is melting. So dangerous. We had it on the island for over two months 3 winters ago. I live at the top of a hill and it made walking down to the beach very exiting indeed. Stay safe. x
ReplyDeletePS. Flowers are beautiful but where is "our" Stone Mountain?
I am hoping to get to Stone Mountain as soon as I can. When Richard is off, the weather is lousy...when he is working, it is perfectly wonderful!
DeleteI have seen the photos from the BBC of the UK...my in-laws are okay in Eastbourne, but other parts of the Southeast have not been so lucky.
Ice for over two months? YIKES! I wouldn't know how to act with that! :-)
Glad you have weathered the storm Kay. Roll on Spring and blue skies.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mr. Bluesky Scotland! Hope to see the blue skies of Scotland one day.
DeleteHope you are thawing well!
ReplyDelete"Thawing", that is a wonderful word!
DeleteNow that is what I have been missing--a nice blue sky. We have been getting the white snowy sky for the past few weeks. I hope all is back to normal there. What a mess the South has been dealing with.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your well wishes. I wish a nice blue sky for you, you deserve it!
DeleteThat's exactly the song which started in my head when I saw the title of your post! Hope the weather has improved and that you're all safe and sound under those lovely blue skies again. x
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julie. I felt like wrapping my arms around those blue skies when I saw them, I was that grateful.
DeleteBlue skies always cheer me up!
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteYes, yes the sun is back and not a moment too soon.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteGood picture!
ReplyDeleteRichard's good work!
DeleteI think you should keep playing those songs of spring and warmth, Kay...they might hopefully push away all those cold, cold winter blues...but not the blue skies.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the Man of Might...great picture...so clear and crisp.
If you read my blog you will see how often I think of songs and then find them on Youtube for you. I think that Youtube is fantastic, I love finding songs on there!
DeleteMy husband, Richard takes most of the photos on here, I think he is very talented! Thank you!
