We Heard The Sirens
Yesterday, we had a very bad thing that happened in our county.
A man went into a liquor store and shot the clerk and one of the customers. Both the clerk and the customer died. The armed man then went to the home of his parents and shot them both. (The parents are in hospital but will survive.). The armed man shot at the police when they arrived, and the police shot and killed the armed man. I am not stating the man's name here, but you can read it in several newspapers. I have a link here. It is from our local paper, The Rockdale Citizen.
Praying for the families affected by this...
"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words."
Romans 8:26
It is so sad that things like this are happening all over the country. I will keep everyone involved close to my heart.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, Kay, I hadn't heard that news. I'm so sorry. It's always disturbing to have something so tragic happen close to home. It's so terribly sad.
ReplyDeleteHow horrible, Kay. There are no words.

What a terrible thing to happen. I can't even begin to imagine what it must feel like to be the parent of someone who has killed two innocent people and then directed his weapon against his own mother and father.
ReplyDeleteOr what it must be like for the families and friends of the customer, who simply happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, and of the clerk who just did his job.
Terrible news everywhere. The world can be a very tragic place.
ReplyDeleteThis is so tragic. Too many such things happen, and I wish people didn't have guns to do this kind of killing. I am so sad for his family and the families of the people he killed. I am saying prayers for them all.
ReplyDeleteToo easy access to guns, especially when in a bad mood. Tragic indeed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a very sad situation. So many people affected in such an awful way. I am sure that all of our thoughts are with them. xx
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for everyone concerned. God bless them all....xo Diana
ReplyDeleteMy prayers will be with their families. It's so sad.
ReplyDeleteThe world is full of idiots...and we have more than our fair share of them down here, too. It gets worse by the day, it seems.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad the police put an end to his rampage!
Oh no... That is just awful! This was obviously a very sick person.
