One Way Or Another/Teenage Kicks

The band, One Direction, did a charity single two years ago for Comic Relief.  "One Way or Another" was a huge hit in the 80's for the American group,  Blondie. (Please note the song was also written by Debbie Harry and Nigel Harrison.)   The song "Teenage Kicks" is by the Undertones.  (I had never heard of that song before but you can learn about it here if you like.)

The video was filmed in Ghana, London, Tokyo, and New York.  I think this is a fun video and I think that it's great to think of how much it raised for the charity.  Enjoy!

  1. Say what you want about them and their music, but it's nice they were able to cash in on their fame in a good way for charity like that. It's a shame the art of philanthropy seems so lost these days.

    1. I like their music myself although they might not be "edgy" enough for people these days. Showing our love for humanity should be a priority.

  2. What fun and uplifting song to hear first thing in the morning while sipping my coffee! I only knew the original Blondie version until now, but I must say I like this one, too. It's the real David Cameron in that video, isn't it? Rather cool of him to have played along.

    1. Yes, I didn't want to spoil it for you, wanted you to be surprised at their visit to 10 Downing Street! Isn't that great?
And I am glad you liked this video too. You should not have a MERKEL face after watching this! :-)

  4. What beautiful daffodils in your header. Are they in your garden - can you grow daffodils in Georgia or is it too hot. I think they are one of my favourite spring flowers. Graham has hundreds and hundreds of them in his garden and so I am being well supplied for my house! Sorry, I was so taken by that picture that I forgot to listen to the music!! x

    1. Hello Pat!
The daffs in my header photo are from my Dad's! He planted them in 1992 and he COULD have placed them closer to his house but he has them very close to the road in front of his house so more can see and enjoy them!
Daffodils do very well in Georgia. Deer don't eat them and squirrels don't eat the bulbs! They don't last as long as they do in England though, but they are lovely while they are around! (And they are really from the British Isles, so they are just like yours, they are not native here. I have told folks this but no one believes this....if you see a very old house falling down, there will almost always be a few daffodils that will come up in the Spring, in Georgia anyway!)
That photo was taken on the walk up to Beachy Head! I am not THAT close to the edge but it looks like it! LOL!

      HA!
You could tell by the path that people do go to the VERY EDGE of that cliff, I was really several feet away. I am NOT that kind of person!

  13. Hi Kay

The late great John Peel reckoned that TK was the best rock and roll record bar none.

Obviously, he had heard nearly enough of Captain Beefheart!
