Thanks to Mac And Janet from www.macqueblogspot.blogspot.com for awarding me the Sunshine Award. Mac and Janet live along the coast of Georgia, near Savannah, and are artists! (In painting and in words.)
Spreading a little sunshine in the world, sounds like a good idea to me!
The rules for this award are as follows:
1. Thank the person who nominated you and have a link back to them. (Thanks again, Mac & Janet.)
2. Place the Sunshine Award in a post or on your blog.
3. Answer some questions about yourself.
4. Nominate 10 other bloggers (or I have seen it anywhere from 5-10 bloggers, that is up to you!)
5. For the bloggers that you have chosen for the Sunshine Award, remember to comment on their
blogs and let them know about their Sunshine Award!
Here are some sample questions:
1. What is your favorite color?
2. What is your favorite animal?
3. Do you prefer Twitter or Facebook?
4. What is your favorite pattern?
5. What is your favorite number?
6. What is your favorite day of the week?
7. What is your passion?
Now, I must tell you that I find it fairly impossible to answer questions like these. I asked my son, "What is my passion?" And he answered right away, "Beauty, your passion is beauty, you are always looking for it." And that is really all I can truly answer from those questions, and even that answer came from someone else! (Although he knows me well.)
Here are some great bloggers that I think deserve the Sunshine Award and if any of you don't "do" awards, that is perfectly fine by me, just know that you have brought sunshine into my life and that is why you are on this list! And if you don't want to answer the questions, you don't have to!
1. Ma from www.goodmorningsmiles.blogspot.com
2. Meike from From My Mental Library www.librarianwithsecrets.blogspot.com
3. Audrey from Life's Simple Pleasures www.audreygoeslocal.blogspot.com
4. Laura Maxwell from Love the Bluebird www.lovethebluebird.blogspot.com
5. Sue at www.sunshineinternationalblanketsoflove.blogspot.com
6. Dorothy at www.hensrule.blogspot.com
7. Farida at http://inlovewithsunflower.blogspot.com/
8. Martha at www.plowingthroughlife.blogspot.com
9. Tracey at www.breathingenglishair.blogspot.com
10. Rachel at www.mozartsgirl.blogspot.com
Please take the time to visit these blogs. They are all so wonderful.
And this is the sun coming over Arabia Mountain just this morning!
Thank you for this award. I cannot do anything much with it right now but do appreciate the thought so much. Things are a little bit crazy at my house at the moment so I'll say thank you and bow down. I always appreciate your kind comments on my blog .
ReplyDeleteAnd I know just what you mean, the nice couple who gave this to me...it was back on Aug. 11th, I think! Anyway, you are a bringer of sunshine, so you are welcome to get that orange flower with bright blue sky behind it and put on your blog IF YOU WOULD LIKE!
DeleteTake care! :-)
Love,
KAY
You are sunshiny indeed, Kay!
ReplyDeleteDear Debra,
DeleteI try to be positive. It's better for our health! :-)
Kay, thank you, you are such a sweetheart! You might remember that "Sunshine" is my word for 2012. I promise to do a post on this award but I have to get through all of my beachy ones first!!! I have so many.....I have some bird ones coming up that you might especially like... Happy Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteOf course, sunshine is your word for 2012 and that is why you have this award! Don't worry, you don't have to dress up and get a limo or anything, unless you really want to!
DeleteAnd I took weeks and weeks to put this on my blog, I don't think there is any time limit.
You know I love my birds!
Dear Ms Kay, thank you for thinking that I am one of those who are "spreading the sunshine in the world." This is really a surprise! I will frequent your site and get more sunshine for positivity. Take care and stay blessed! :D
ReplyDeleteOh, to think that someone might visit me for positive thinking...you have made my day! But then, you always do! God bless you and keep you! :-)
DeleteCongratulations on your award, and thank you for thinking of me. Kay. I will be sure to check out the blogs of the other recipients.
ReplyDeleteDear Tracey,
DeleteYou will see what good bloggers are listed here with you! And you already know that I love your blog!
Thank you, Kay, I feel very honoured!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the link to the 7th blog on your list does not work.
Dear Meike,
DeleteYou can see how long it takes me to do things these days, hmmm...I wonder what your favorite color is? HA, I think I know that one!
And thanks, I had the one wrong for Mac & Janet too, of all things! I have fixed both now! TA!
Congratulations to you all! I also find it difficult to a one favourite anything!
ReplyDeleteI asked my nephew what was his favorite color (he was six at the time) and he said, "Blue...no, green!" He thought a minute and then he said, "No, wait...RED...hmm, but I really like yellow and purple and...Oh, Aunt Kay, I like ALL the colors!"
DeleteI know just how he feels!
Your passion for beauty shows in so much that you do, and i thank you for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteDear Mimi,
DeleteThanks so much!
Congratulations, Kay! You really are a ray of sunshine in my blogging circle. And I thank you for thinking of me :) It is difficult to pick just one favourite, isn't it? But when I post about this award, I'll try to answer the questions.
ReplyDeleteI am only a ray of sunshine because I have sunshiny people around me.
DeleteI look forward to seeing how you will accept this award, I loved your post on the Kreativ Award.
AWW, thank you Kay! And Congratulations to you!
ReplyDeleteYou deserve it. And thank you!
DeleteAnd I think your passion is beauty, also!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice of you to say so and I thought it was nice of my son to think so too!
DeleteCongratulations on your award and I love your (or rather your sons) answer to your question. Beauty is a great thing to look for :)
ReplyDeleteAlways looking for the beauty in life, sounds like a plan!
DeleteThanks for your comment!
Congratulations. And I love your latest photo of Arabia Mountain.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jenny Woolf! I must do another post on Arabia Mountain, we have seen the most beautiful wildflowers and in this intense heat, we were surprised to see them!
