And guess what? That photo was taken just outside our front door, it is one of the many sunrises that makes Richard run for the camera! I had my father-in-law in England read your post about Gwyneth Paltrow, and he really chuckled. Just had to tell you that!
Oh, lovely pink pictures. What a lovely variety. I specially love that pink shrub. I think I have seen it here in greenhouses but I don't know what it is called. Could it be a kind of hibiscus?

Ha~ we're actually staying indoors. This is my least favorite time of year....in Charlotte. The 90 degree days are so unbearable for me. I still haven't quite figured out why I wasn't born in the Arctic. Still, lovely photos....the pink is so pretty!
Dear Audrey, You should be married to an Englishman! Even though Richard has lived here for almost 29 years now, he still does not like the hot summers! And I have lived here all my life and I DON'T like it hot. Sometimes we get up at the crack of dawn to walk, just to beat the heat! And I know I showed the pink lighted lake before, but I could not resist this pinky post! :-)
Beautiful and lovely to look at pictures. The first and last pictures were simply stunning. The sunrises (so I am told) are beautiful on the Isle of Lewis but the sunsets from the west window in my house are wonderful. At the moment we are in almost constant daylight. At this time of the year it is light at 3.30am and it is still daylight at 11pm and you can still read a book outside at midnight. Plays havoc with the birds time clock!
I know what you mean about the pine trees, we have the same. Best to get a shot of the sunrises or sunsets from a high spot, like Stone Mountain, Arabia Mountain... or the top of a very high driveway like ours! ;-)

I love those pink grasses. We have some around various places in town and they are my favorites.
