    1. Glad you like the song too, I hope you knew it already! If not, glad to introduce it to you! I love Louis Armstrong singing it the very best.
Looks like the moth is a Pink-Striped Oakworm Moth...that is, what it looks like from my research anyway! xx

    1. Hello Sara! So happy to see your comment here, I still see lots of heart shapes everywhere too! xx
There was an Antiques Roadshow recently that had someone who had letters from Louis Armstrong, and you would have loved it...his letters were so well written, he could have done ANYTHING in his life, not just music! Can't remember what city the show was from, it is worth watching the re-runs just to catch that one segment!!

    1. Hey Julie!
You are absolutely correct, the birds are in the finch family, they are cardinals, or correctly speaking "northern cardinals" but they are very numerous on the eastern part of the USA, (not sure if they have them out West). The bright red one is male, and we think the other one is male too, but a juvenile, the feathers will go bright red as it gets older. (See the difference in the color of the beak?)
Can you tell we love our birds?! :-)

  11. We have had some skies like that with thunderclouds. Maybe not storms of Georgian proportions (I have never been in one of your storms), but well approaching Midwest storms.

    1. Oh yes, we have some very fierce storms here in the South.
Oddly enough, those huge clouds moved slightly away from us and there was rain all around us but we didn't get any!
(Not THAT day anyway!) We have had more rain in the Atlanta area this summer than in many, many years!

  12. I've loved that song for a long time, Kay, thank you for illustrating it here so beautifully!
One of my favourite customers has it playing on the phone when you have to wait, and it is one more reason for me to call there often :-)

    1. Oh, I wish I could listen to good HOLD music like that, I always have someone blabbing on a recording or else, the most horrible muSAK that you can imagine! Would rather listen to SILENCE honestly!

I always think of that song when I see a pretty sky with big white clouds!

Our middle son and his wife, chose this song, for their song to dance to, at their wedding. It always makes me think of them... :-)
