ENGLAND!

Georgia Girl, you are thinking, what has happened to you that you have not been posting your posts that I wait for in GREAT anticipation ? Guess what, I am very happy to tell you that Richard and I have been in ENGLAND!  We have had a wonderful time and have taken so many photos that anyone reading this blog will become very confused with all the photos that you will see from England in my future posts!  We have been very busy and having fun so not much time to be on this computer which belongs to my father-in-law.  And may I just say how very grateful I am for my wonderful in-laws, thank you Joan and Peter for everything!  (Give PeTe a treat for me!) xxx  Thanks to Betty for watching the dog for us so we could go out too!

Georgia Girl, did you sing GOD SAVE THE QUEEN while you were there?  You know I did!  Hope to be home soon and to catch up with all of your blogs that I LOVE to read!

(The keyboard is different in England!  The place to make a letter be a capital is in the same spot as the \ key, and the @ key is on the far right  middle keyboard! There are other differences too, but you don't notice them until you hit the wrong key!)

  1. It is funny how the slight differences in keyboards throw you off completely. I found that when I used one in Sicily last year.
I'm glad you are having a good time in England; the weather is being typically English I am afraid! I joined in with a rousing chorus of Rule Britannia the other day, poor Zeke looked at me like his ears hurt!

    1. I truly enjoy England in all kinds of weather! The wind today was something fierce. Reminds me of Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day!

  3. Hello Kay:
We have much enjoyed your 'all seasons' little video of Eastbourne, a town we often visit from Brighton when we are there, mainly for the excellent Towner Gallery. We are delighted to know that you have been enjoying what we imagine to be an extended holiday in the United Kingdom.

    1. Wonderful, the Towner Gallery! We loved the photographs put together to make up the photos of the Queen. I daresay you will see this photo on one of my posts soon! The roses were beautiful, as were all the flowers. Glad you liked the video that I found!

  11. ENGLAND!!! As Tina Fey would say "I want to go to there" (nope, that's not a typo) anyway... I'm just dropping by to promote my latest design project called AFAWFAY. (short for A Furniture A Week For A Year) It's a personal design challenge where I'll come up with 1 furniture a week and post it in my blog. This project starts this week (June 9 2012) and updates will be made during saturdays or sundays, which also means I'll be posting at least 1 entry in my blog! YAY! see denisewy.com/afawfay for more details though new designs will be posted in my blog at denisewy.blogspot.com

  14. Eastbourne hey. But you were in the wrong part of the U.K. for good weather. Here on the Isle of Lewis we have had the most spectacular weather. The best in Britain. Whilst the Queen was in wind and pouring rain, up here it was blue skies and warm sunshine. Lovely. The sun is still shining now two days later. We really are lucky at the moment. So glad you enjoyed your visit to Eastbourne. I will be down there in early October. Back for the coffee and cakes!! Look forward to seeing more pictures (including my favourite Stone Mountain). Best wishes Pat

    1. Dear Pat,
There are two Fish & Chips restaurants that I ENJOYED in Eastbourne. The first one was The Odyssey which was near the Post Office and the other one was behind T.J. Hughes called The Fish Restaurant. (In that one, the owner asked me to sign her Guest Register...ask to see it and you will see what I wrote! :-) The weather was great until the last few days, lucky for me, my mother-in-law loaned me a terrific jacket!!!

    1. Dear Pat,
I am surprised at how quickly the weather can change even within an hour!! The winds today were something fierce but still marvelous in my books, I will be wanting this fresh air when I AM HOME in Georgia! (Stone Mountain can only be climbed in early, early morning in the summer, because it will be too HOT otherwise!!!)
